The McAllen High Mariachi Oro won its 8th state championship in the spring of 2025. Recently, they received their state championship rings and held a celebration on Oct. 19, 2025. Each student that was a part of the 2025 state champions received their rings, lettermen jackets and medals. The Mariachi Oro is under the direction of Mr. Alex Trevino.
