With an eye cast toward the future, McAllen ISD is developing a Strategic Plan to better serve its community and meet the evolving needs of its students and families.
The district wants to hear from its stakeholders so the public is invited to the Community Strategic Planning Session from 5:30-7 p.m. on Monday, June 15. It will be at the district’s Professional Learning Center at 1601 North 27th Street (old Lincoln Middle School). Parking will be in the north side parking lot.
As the district prepares students for the demands of industry they will face as adults. McAllen ISD is determined to construct a system that supports the whole student – academically, socially, emotionally and through meaningful career exploration.
“We value the input of all stakeholders and believe that we are all in when it comes to making McAllen ISD a district where students can explore various pathways while maintaining a strong, traditional school experience,” McAllen ISD Superintendent Dr. René Gutiérrez said. “Together, we can create opportunities that prepare every student for success in school, career and their life.”
The meeting will be livestreamed on the McAllen ISD You Tube channel.
